Tangible Memories

Last night I had an awesome client meeting with a 2015 wedding couple, whom I can’t wait to work with next summer. As we were talking about importance of photography and what they wanted out of their wedding photographer, Jessica shared, “even when we are gone, our wedding images will still be here.” Reflect on that for a minute…..It’s the truth. For generations wedding images are “printed memories” of those whom we have lost or have passed away. These images are priceless to the family members who have them. Wedding images aren’t just about a “picture” anymore, they are life long memories passed down to generation after generation.  It’s a memory of a father walking his daughter down the isle. It’s a memory of a family gathering. It’s a memory of vows shared between a couple. It’s a memory of a romantic first dance. Thats just it…….. Wedding images are tangible memories.

On this Memorial Day, I wanted to share this little reflection with you. If you have ever lost a loved one whom has served in our military. Today look at a picture of them and reflect on the memories you once shared. A picture is a powerful piece of printed paper. Today I’m sharing a personal family portrait. That someday my children will look back on and remember us by. It’s emotional just writing that statement, but again it’s true.

  • Mike MastersGreat post Hanna! With the digital age, many people seem to be discounting the importance of printed photos. Real, printed photos are an heirloom, to be shared throughout multiple generations.ReplyCancel
