I like to say I’m adventurous, and this engagement session put that idea to the test. I first met Milissa and John over a Skype meeting and as soon as I met them I knew they were laid back and their personalities were ones I knew I would enjoy to be around and photograph. In 2013 I have changed the way I book engagement sessions, I now have my clients choose their location.
It takes time to choose a location that best fits them as a couple and I like to tease clients by saying this is their homework. So for Milissa and John’s engagement session they chose Half Moon Bay and La Honda. Both earthy locations that depict a sense of fun and adventure. We met in Half Moon Bay as the fog was starting to burn off with little bursts of sun peaking through and the lighting was just perfect. Then later in the afternoon we drove to La Honda and photographed in a more woodsy area. We hiked about five miles looking for sand hills and we never found them. Milissa, the poor thing was in flip flops and she was a trooper! I had such a fun day with these two and I can’t wait till their wedding in May.
