It may have been around a high of 45 degrees at Shannon and Joes wedding last weekend, but that didn’t stop me. I was actually excited to wear my new mittens I got as a Christmas gift. They came in handy, with their cute cut off finger tips. I think every photographer should own a pair to help keep your fingers from freezing off. I’ve herd before that weather can ruin the style and idea of a wedding but in my experience I think weather adds something unique to the wedding and it’s something so minor you will always remember.
I’ve photographed in many different types of weather conditions. For example I photographed a wedding last March in Arnold where is dumped four feet of snow three hours before the ceremony and I’ve also photographed weddings with heat as high as 110 degrees. Each wedding continued as planned successfully and all couples just as happy as if the weather wasn’t even a factor.
Shannon and Joe got married at Ironstone Vineyards and they exchanged vows in the colder breezeway and then the party began with all the guest inside the wine cave. To my surprise and guests the cave was extremely warm! I’d say their wedding was a perfect start to my 2013 wedding season and it’s one colder wedding I wont forget. I just adore these two so much. I know I say over and over again how cool my clients are but it’s true these two are in the US Coast Guard! Now that’s COOL! Here are a few sneak peaks!
